Christmas for you

Christmas is about becoming a child again. It's about seeing the wonder in lights and sparkles and music and art. It's about loving in new ways. It's about following the spirit on who to give a present to and what! Even if that present is just your forgiveness or loving kindness in your heart, or a smile, or text. I love this time of year! I wake up with a name on my heart, follow the prompting and give them a gift that makes absolutely no sense to my mind, but it's exactly what they had been praying for. I get to wrap up something and give it to someone as if they were me, and that's because they are a reflection of me. I get to make magical moments for my children, and I do it for ME. Because they are me, little Annie, just waiting for a magical Christmas. I get to let go of my past, and my negative thoughts, and give myself the gift of pure love, which I then can freely give to other.

Christ is a reflection of who you are and what you are here for, and so are your family and friends.

We are all here for each other…to love.

I'd love to share with you my favorite Christmas poem:

Christmas is holy only if you come

In silence to the manger, to behold

Your holiness made visible to you.

Your gifts are but your open hands, made clean

Of grasping. Nothing else you lay before

The newly-born except your doubts and fears,

Your pale illusions and your sickly pride,

Your hidden venom and your little love,

Your meager treasures and unfaithfulness

To all the gifts that God has given you.

Here at the altar lay all this aside

To let the door to Heaven open wide

And hear the angels sing of peace on earth,

For Christmas is the time of your rebirth.
