Home again home again

We’ve made it back from our annual Leavitt family reunion at Fish Lake, Utah. I can't tell you how much I look forward to the 4 days unplugged from the world, because it is a large amount of looking forwardness. I crave it. This year was wonderful with a new baby in the cabin and I gladly offered help whenever I could.

I spent a few evenings on the deck taking in the stars and sunrises. A lot of hours reading a book and ignoring my kids. I followed along with the fishing trips, and somewhat felt guilty now putting the worm on the hook (that was new), but enjoyed the kids' squeals of delight at their first catch.

What is the good of your stars and trees, your sunrise and the wind, if they do not enter into our daily lives? -EM Forster
